We will look into this issue once the new release of the NEN 3650 norm is available.
Jens/Billy,
To adjust in Soil Model Wizard - part 1:
For your information, this is not an issue for the new norm and will not change in the new norm. The suggested RVT calculations is valid for all old NEN 3650 norms as well.
The new norm is planned in end Q2/begin Q3 of year 2026. So if the next PLE release is before that date, you don't have to wait to implement this when the norm is released.
To adjust in Soil Model Wizard - part 2:
One thing will (possibly) change regarding to the PLE soil module in the upcoming NEN 3650-1:2026. The practical (average) value for soilparameter UF for HDD drillings will be now given in the new code. Currently PLE uses UF = 8 mm for HDD drillings. The NEN request was to give it a value between 6 and 9 mm (according to Deltares in manual D-Geo Pipeline for bentonite-sand mixture), so the avarage value for UF for HDD's in PLE needs to be changed to 7.5 mm. This should be checked/confirmed when the code is released.
To adjust in Soil Model Wizard - part 3:
In an other
PLE forum post an another PLE soil module request has been mentioned, which hasn't been implemented yet and is currently been submitted as under internal PLE discussion.
To adjust in Soil Model Wizard - part 4:
The correction factors for the geotechnical design soilparameter RH (horizontal bearing capacity) in the 'Soil Model Wizard' of PLE needs to be adjusted and removed in the PLE sources and manual, see this
PLE forum post, because these correction factors have been removed from the Draft NEN 3650-1:2025.
